    Optimal Site is a software with novel techniques to optimise the site-wide energy utilisation from single-process to intra-process utility system. The novel techniques are verified with two industrial case studies, which resulted USD 12 million/ year and USD 3.4 million /year of energy savings. The software has its unique features to differ from the market available software. There is no software product available for optimising both intra-plant maximum heat recovery potential and centralised utility system.

Project Overview

Optimal Site is a software with novel techniques to optimise the site-wide energy utilisation from single-process to intra-process utility system. The novel techniques are verified with two industrial case studies, which resulted USD 12 million/ year and USD 3.4 million /year of energy savings. The software has its unique features to differ from the market available software. There is no commercialised software product available for optimising both intra-plant maximum heat recovery potential and centralised utility system.

 

Optimal Site is selecting the appropriate steam level conditions to maximise energy saving. The software is featured with sensitivity analyser of a centralised utility system, which proposes mitigation actions. The software is also capable to integrate the process utility system with Renewable Energy System which dealing with unsteady energy supply. In order to handle the unsteady energy availability, Optimal Site is able to design the most suitable thermal storage system for the utility system.
