    A sludge palm oil delivery system (SPODS) which sends off extracted waste oil from the production line, mainly from palm oil mill effluent (POME), is attached to the burner that is customized for the waste oil combustion. The burner will be able to utilize the oil in either its pure form, blended or emulsion depending on the demand of the factory. When waste oil is nonexistent in palm oil mill effluent, it enhances more digestion of the effluent, hence, the quality of water being released will be environmentally friendly.

Project Overview

This invention presents a burner and an attached system that utilizes sludge palm oil (SPO) as a source of fuel. A sludge palm oil delivery system (SPODS) which sends off extracted waste oil from the production line, mainly from palm oil mill effluent (POME), is attached to the burner that is customized for the waste oil combustion. The burner will be able to utilize the oil in either its pure form, blended or emulsion depending on the demand of the factory. When waste oil is nonexistent in palm oil mill effluent, it enhances more digestion of the effluent in anaerobic treatment pond. The target of this product is to eliminate SPO from wastewater before treatment processes.

Features :

This system functions as follows:

  • Extracts SPO from palm oil mill effluent
  • Delivers SPO to a separate tank with heating element to ensure liquefying of SPO.
  • Mixes SPO with water using the fuel-water mixer device called as fuel emulsifier.
  • Delivers SPO emulsion fuel into burner for combustion.

  • Utilization of SPO as fuel, promoting a sustainable system for palm oil mill.
  • Extraction of SPO from POME ensures a much efficient wastewater treatment process.
